Visa Requirements

Nepal

All nationalities bar Indians require a visa for Nepal. Visas are obtainable from embassies abroad or on arrival at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan airport. If getting the visa at the airport be prepared for long queues. You will also need to provide one passport photo and the following fees in US dollars only: A single entry visa valid for 60 days - US$30: A multiple entry visa valid for 150 days - US$80

Please note regulations and costs do change frequently so it is advisable to check the current rules with your nearest Nepalese embassy or consulate. For information on the location of your nearest embassy or consulate we recommend the following website: http://dir.yahoo.com/Government/Embassies_and_Consulates/

Tibet

For China - Tibet, we arrange these for you as part of the service for all tours including the fixed departures, but we begin the paperwork one month before the tour, so please send us your details early.

We need a copy of the details page of your passport. Most convenient is a scan saved as a JPEG file of around 100kb size. If you book less than one month in advance there is an additional $25 fee.

Bhutan

We will arrange the Bhutan visa for you. You must provide us on booking with your full name, passport number, date of issue, validity, occupation, nationality, date of birth and home address. The Bhutanese visa is then issued on arrival at Paro Air port on submission of 2 passport sized photographs. You will be charged a visa fee by the officials at Paro airport of US$ 20 per person. This is payable in US dollars cash only.

India

At the time of writing all nationalities require a visa to enter India, they are not available at port of entry but must be obtained in advance. It your responsibility to arrange visas before you travel, sometimes your travel agent can assist you.
