21 day trek around the Annapurna with ascent of Chulu East.
Departure: Kathmandu
Duration: 21 days
Best season: Spring and Autumn
Peak Grade: Alpine grade PD+

This magnificent trek takes you around the Annapurna peaks with an ascent of the technically straightforward Chulu East Peak at 6200 metres. Situated high above the Manang Valley the summit of Chulu East offers incredible views of the Annapurnas, Gangapurna, Glacier Dome, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho and Manaslu peaks.
Starting the trek from Besi Sahar after a 6 hour drive from Kathmandu (3 hours from Pokhara), the trail winds along the Marshyangdi River Valley on its gradual ascent to the village of Pisang where we leave the main trail and head up to Chulu East Base Camp.
Following our ascent we rejoin the main Annapurna Circuit trail and head into the Kali Gandaki Valley crossing Thorung La at 5416 metres. We will visit Muktinath, one of the most important pilgrimage sites for both Hindu and Bhuddhist people. We then make our final descent into Jomsom from where we have a jaw-dropping mountain flight between the peaks of the Annapurnas and Dhaulagiri to Pokhara, then on to Kathmandu.
This is an awesome opportunity to ascend a technically straightforward peak, undertake a classic trek around the Annapurnas passing through fascinating villages of many ethnic groups and cross a high pass into the deepest gorge in the world.
This trip can be undertaken anytime in March to May and September to December. No previous experience is necessary, but you need to be physically fit and motivated for climbing.
